A Fork in the Bridge
Miami County Helping Hands and the 1st Christian Church are partnering with local churches to provide a soup kitchen for the needy of our County once again. Peru school will be delivering the noon meal to the Old Firehouse on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the school year. The soup kitchen will operate 44-45 weeks each year and take summer's off. We need people willing to serve and clean-up for 3 - 4 hours each of the 3 days of the assigned week. We’d like to get a minimum of one team of 3-4 people to make a one week commitment 4 times a year, more teams would be wonderful. The inimitable Yogi Berra said “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” This opportunity is a fork we’d love to take! Please sign-up at the Connect Center and see Pastor Keith or Naila Carnagua for more info.
